Richard Kensington
- percussionist in MuHa since 2005, has been playing music professionally since 1998 working with Latin, jazz and world musicians worldwide. He studied percussion over the years from Cuban Rumbero Santiago Garzon Rill aka 'Chaguito' who is Richard's teacher in Havana. Along with his continuous collaborations with a wide variety of music projects, Richard delivers workshops for children at Nottingham music school. Being a percussionist for well-known Nottingham band Mas-Y-Mas, Richard has developed a unique African beat style, elements of which he brings to MuHa band. Richard’s act is rich with different percussion instruments he uses from congas and cajon to the bodhran, his passion, -a nod to his Irish roots.

Richard Grindon


Richard Grindon having been a musician for 20 years, Richard has played in many bands and has experience of many different styles, which he brings to MuHa band. Percussionist since 2009, Richard’s roots are varied from death metal, jazz, funk and breakbeat, to more recent projects such as traditional balkan music, complex solo ostinato arrangements and gabba collaboration Organotronic.
Richard is well known for his speed drumming and is recognised as one of the fastest drummers in the UK, playing in Derby based four piece death metal band Lordaeron and Nottingham Prog metal outfit Insidious (both on Unionblack records).
Always seeking out new styles and musical experiences, Richard brings his own unique style and pace to MuHa band.

Manushi


The Manushi Dance

is a  Nottingham based organisation that  promotes South Asian Dance and in particular the Indian Classical dance form of Kathak.  

It is lead by Kenyan born artistic director/ choreographer Vina Ladwa with more then 20 years  of dance and tutoring experience.  Manushi annually presents a major theatre performance at the best venues across the East Midlands. This year they tell a story of Taj  Mahal at the Lake Side Arts Centre.

Richard Grindon


Rocco Franchelli

Italian accordion player, singer, songwriter, composer, producer, tutor and Music Therapy composer. Since he moved in the UK, Rocco has worked in the Music and Creative Industry, gaining an incredible amount of creative and business experience.  
Rocco started to play traditional Italian accordion when he was 8 years old, but since then Rocco expanded his style of music from traditional, to Tango, Blues, Rock, Folk, Pop, Latin and contemporary experimental music. Originally classically trained, he moved to more improvisation style, including playing ‘TOTAL SOUND’, his own soundscape technique. Rocco performed all over Europe for many years as Solo artist but also with other musicians and artists including some various celebrities.
During his career in the UK, Rocco has produced music professionally for Dance, Theatre, performance and also Film scoring. Continually collaborating with many music projects, Rocco is also involved with tutoring the ‘business’ side to musicians and artists, including workshops for youth and adult alike. His also traveling abroad in conjunction with his Music Therapy project with Brain Waves Music composition and the new project NOSTRA ITALIA, a framework to promote the Italian culture in the UK, with events, music and Internet Radio (RADIO NOSTRA ITALIA).
